AXA Global Business Services Private Limited, formerly known as AXA Business Services India Private Limited, (hereinafter referred as “AXA GBS, Us, We or Our” or “Controller”) values your (“Data Subject” or “You”) trust and are committed to the responsible management, use and protection of your personal data. This Privacy Notice is applicable to all personal information /data collected by AXA GBS.

If you do not accept the terms, you will not be allowed access to apply for a position online or have your written, offline submission considered for a position.

By using the Careers Sites(s) or otherwise applying for employment with us, you also agree to the transfer of personal information about you to countries outside the country in which you reside which may include countries with a different data protection regime. AXA GBS will take appropriate technical, organizational, and legal steps to secure personal information about you.

Information you provide i.e. what data We collect:

This Notice covers any personal information/data you provide to apply or search for a position at AXA GBS or otherwise.

We may collect/process the following Personal Information/Data about You:

• name, surname, company, phone number, e-mail address;
• log-in and password;
• CV, resume, cover letter, previous work experience and education information;
• Professional data related to certifications etc.;
• Language and other relevant skills;
• Eligibility to work in country where job applied for is located;
• IP address You use to connect to Our service;  and
• Any other information that you may voluntarily choose to provide as a part of your application.

You are responsible for the content of the data/information that you have provided to us and you must ensure it is legal, truthful, accurate, not misleading and does not infringe any third party rights.

AXA GBS may obtain information about you from other sources, including professional services firms, agencies, online social media etc. as permitted by applicable law, from a background check perspective in connection with your application.

Why We collect Your Data:

Your data/information provided through the Career site(s) or otherwise in connection to your application will be collected, used, transferred and disclosed (processed) when: (1) required by applicable law (2) necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into an employment contract with you; (3) necessary to protect the vital interests of any person; or (4) we have a legitimate interest to do so.

We process the Personal Data/Information for the following purposes:

• Process your application;
• Maintaining your information on file for future employment opportunities with us;
• Conduct reference check;
• Comply with any applicable law/regulations;
• provide an answer to any request for information You may have sent to AXA Business Services through online forms or through physical submission;
• preserve our other interests, for example, in connection with any disputes; and
• perform other administrative and business activities, such as aggregate management reporting, internal training, assess and improve our recruiting and hiring practices, and as generally required to conduct our business.

The provision of personal information/data is voluntary. Please note however, failure to provide sufficient information may result in AXA GBS being unable to consider your employment application or if employment is offered, your subsequent promotion, transfer or relocation.

Safeguarding and Securing the Data.

AXA GBS is committed to securing Your data and keeping it confidential. AXA GBS has ensured implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect the Personal Information/Data collected about You. These measures are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risk of processing Your Personal Data in line with AXA GBS standards. 

How do We use Your Personal Data?

We may share your data/information with the vendors/service providers acting on our behalf, such as third parties assisting AXA GBS with the operation of Career Site(s). Those third parties will be required to use appropriate measure to protect the confidentiality and security of the data.

No third parties, which are not acting on our behalf, will have access to your Personal Data unless the law allows them to do so.

We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data. Your Personal Data is being collected, used, transferred and disclosed (processed) only as per business requirements.

How long we keep it?

Personal Information/Data will be retained in accordance with the local law, and for considering whether your skills are suitable for other opportunities. If you do not wish us to retain your information/data in connection with the consideration you may contact us at dpo@axa.com. If there is no activity on our database AXA GBS may remove it from our database, subject to AXS retention obligations, policies and any applicable legal or regulatory obligations or for the period of time permitted by local laws.

What are Your rights in relation to Your Personal Information/Data?

In accordance with GDPR and other applicable Data Protection Law, You have the following right to:

• access Your Personal Data and obtain a copy thereof;
• rectify Your Personal Data;
• request erasure of Your Personal Data, except if the processing is based upon the respect of a legal obligation of the Data Controller
• ask the restriction of processing of Your Personal Data in certain circumstances; and
• right to request Your Personal Data portability, where applicable.
